On Monday 22nd September, teams from CRITT Horticole and TIPEE met in Lagord for a half-day session dedicated to their joint EPURE project. The meeting began with a convivial lunch at Planète Sésame, a genuine opportunity to socialise which helped to strengthen the bonds between the participants. This informal session fostered a sense of cohesion and set the scene for the technical discussions that followed in the afternoon.
A collaborative approach
Welcomed by the TIPEE team, the participants were able to review the progress made on the initial work undertaken and share their feedback. The constructive atmosphere and the complementary nature of the skills present enabled the group to quickly identify organisational approaches tailored to the project’s challenges.
The discussions centred on reprioritising tasks. Some deliverables were rescheduled to take account of technical constraints and data availability. This stage, which is essential in a collaborative project, helped to ensure consistency between the various contributions, whilst enhancing the smooth running of the collective work.
Planning the next stages of the project
The meeting also provided an opportunity to draw up a concrete action plan for the coming months. The various working groups had their areas of responsibility and interim deadlines confirmed. Regular coordination meetings have been scheduled to ensure effective monitoring and to guarantee that the results produced can be shared and used by everyone.
A reaffirmed course
Beyond the logistical aspects, this meeting served as a reminder of the EPURE project’s shared ambition: to provide tools and services capable of assessing, in a practical manner, solutions for adapting to urban heat. At a time when cities are seeking concrete responses to heatwaves, the multidisciplinary approach championed by EPURE is particularly relevant.
This working day therefore marks a new stage in the project’s progress: the move towards collective action, in which each partner pools its strengths in pursuit of a shared ambition.
